The Global Alliance for Community Empowerment, with Alaffia Sustainable Skincare and Fish Tale Ales, held GACE's first Olympia Bike Drive on June 30, 2007. The people of Olympia generously donated 127 bikes in just 4 hours!!! This brings our total number of bikes to 659 bikes - enough to fill one shipping container and put us well on our way to filling a second shipping container. GACE wishes to extend its gratitude to Fish Tale Ales for sponsoring this bike drive and allowing us to use their parking lot, to the volunteers who helped with the bike drive, and to the people of Olympia for donating their bikes to children of Togo.
